Southerly Finance Group (SFG) was founded in March 2019 and seeks to go above and beyond for its clients hence the motto "we make lending a breeze" this is the standard we hold ourselves to. You will find our process a breeze, that is our commitment to you! Our head Broker John has been Finance Broker since 2007 servicing Geraldton and surrounds. In his time as a Finance broker has won numerous awards from customer service to special achievement awards, most recently being a finalist a couple of times over the last few years for WA Regional Broker of the year. Al Palidinetti comes to Southerly Finance Group with a strong background across home lending, asset finance, business advisory and banking. With more than 15 years' experience in lending, client service, business operations and leadership, Al brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to helping clients achieve their financial goals. Originally from the United States, Al has called Geraldton home for the past 11 years and loves the lifestyle that comes with living in regional WA. He enjoys working with local families, first home buyers, business owners and clients seeking finance for homes, vehicles, trailers, trucks and other assets. Al particularly enjoys the personal side of finance: getting to know his clients, understanding their goals and helping them find a solution that genuinely suits their circumstances. He is straight-talking, detail-focused and values honesty, integrity and clear communication. Before joining Southerly Finance Group, Al worked in senior banking, asset finance and business advisory roles, including branch management with a Big Four bank, consumer and commercial asset finance through car dealerships, and business advisory work supporting small to medium businesses across the Midwest and Wheatbelt. Al holds an MBA, a Bachelor of Science in International Business Management and a Diploma in Financial Services. Outside of work Al enjoys spending time with family and can often be spotted cheering from the sidelines of his children’s sports.
